The China-based tech giant has recently announced a its newest smartphone update, the Android 7.0 Nougat and a 5.0 EMUI for its to-be released models. This change is expected to come during the first few months of the upcoming year for its first 6 models. Included in this list of 6 is the Huawey P9 series, Mate 8, and the Nova and Nova Plus.
As of the moment, P9 users could already upgrade to Nougat beta. This particular update would be integrated with the EMUI 5.0, which is an Android-based user interface that effectively compliments the user-friendly design of Huawei phones.
EMUI 5.0 would work faster, has pumped up security, and is even more user-friendly, where its features could be accessed by not more than three taps. The app layouts for the EMUI 5.0 have been made in such a way that it would work well with default Android apps.
Apart from that, the newest EMUI would enable phone owners to choose between having either a drawer for the apps or the home layout. Multitasking is also very efficient on these phones, and thus saves you the hassle of switching from one unit to another.
While other details have yet to be announced, the first wave of phone releases with these updates are believed to be slated starting January. Beta builds for certain models however, could be up for grabs in the weeks to come.
