GTA VI: Latest News and Rumors

Rockstar is indeed one of the most popular developers of computer games in the world. 20 years ago, they have launched their most famous game series, the Grand Theft Auto.

This makes 2017 the year that marks the 20th anniversary of GTA. However, it seems like GTA VI will not be the surprise for the anniversary. One of the reason is because the company just recently launched Red Dead Redemption 2.

It seems that this year will be completely committed to upgrading and promoting the 2nd installment of Red Dead Redemption. Also, Grand Theft Auto 5 is still very much active, specifically in its online content. Actually, Grand Theft Auto 5 just lately established another expansion. This means that the company will be keeping the game for now.

Rumored Launch Date

A lot of fans are asking, when will Grand Theft Auto 6 be released? Well, obviously the answer is not 2017. 2018 might be a good option for Rockstar. But, unluckily, most of the rumors spreading indicate that the next Grand Theft Auto will come in 2020. However, don’t you immediately lose hope because these are just rumors. We will just have to wait for an official statement coming from the company before we make any other assumptions.

New Settings

Grand Theft Auto’s open world is one of the factors that made the game famous. All GTA games were set in a city. And a lot of fans expressed their wishes to see other cities in the game such as New Orleans. Other locations include London, Detroit, and Chicago. There are also fans who want to have a new Mafia-ish setting for Grand Theft Auto 6 which really sounds amazing.

However, gamers now believe that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI will rely on the whole territory of the United States as the setting of the game. This is a possibility that we should not reject, especially that we don’t have any other available details.

Well, if that will be the case, Rockstar will have to use the available latest technology. And because as what have mentioned above that the game will be released in 2020, this gives the company a long time to prepare. Releasing Grand Theft Auto VI in 2020 will also give Rockstar a time to wait and make it compatible with the upcoming new consoles, maybe PlayStation 5 and Project Scorpio for Xbox.
