Galaxy Note 8, the latest prize of Samsung is now available in stores. Concept designers and Android fans have now moved their attention to the Galaxy S9 next year.
Apple, the rival of Samsung, has just revealed their brand new iPhone X with a top-notch and bezel-less display. One concept designer tried to envision the same design on the next-generation flagship of Samsung.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ would have model numbers SM-G965 and SM-G960 according to XDA developers. They would keep they 5.7 inches and 6.2 inches’ screens from its predecessors. But, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will only provide 64GB of base and storage and 4GB RAM, according to the rumors. Obviously, the company would a microSD slot for additional expansion of the memory. The same with the Galaxy S8, the S9 would have a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear.
Earlier, Korean website ETnews had described that the company will use a SLP (Substrate-like PCB) mainboard in the Galaxy S9. The SLP mainboard would free up several internal spaces that can be used to add new features or make the phone slimmer. The Galaxy S9 is anticipated to have a dedicated Bixby button on its site to start the AI assistant of Samsung.
Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst, lately unveiled that the dual camera system of S9 will be the same to the Galaxy Note 8. This means that the setup will contain a telephoto lens and a wide-angle lens. Both would provide OIS (optical image stabilization) to help you capture HQ photos even in low-light situations.
Galaxy S9 to be Launched in January?
Traditionally, the company announces the new Galaxy S smartphones in March or February. The Galaxy S8 was an exclusion since the launch was pushed backed due to the debacle of Note 7. But, Korean media claims that the S9 will be launched as early as January 2019. The development of the display panel of S9 began in April 2016, around 2 up to 3 months ahead of the usual timeline of Samsung.
The S9 would be launched in January and will be on sale in February, according to The Investor. According to sources, Samsung Display will begin shipping OLED panels for the S9 in November. These panels are the 1st components to be shipped. It takes around 2 up to 3 months from there to completely assemble the 1st batch of S9.
