Facebook Introduces ‘Messenger Day’ To Take On Snapchat

Facebook is indeed everywhere, as it continues to rock the world with its new feature, the Messenger Day. With this new unveiling of a feat that would gauge in new users, the company is sure to have a brighter future ahead.

The Messenger Day is tested out in Poland to ensure that any form of glitches would not happen. One remarkable thing is that Messenger Day is synonymous to the Snapchat Stories.

Facebook says to TechCrunch in one of its statements, “We know that people come to Messenger to share everyday moments with friends and family. In Poland we are running a small test of new ways for people to share those updates visually. We have nothing more to announce at this time.”

A user can find within his or her phone, the “I’m Feeling,” “Who’s Up For?” and “I’m Doing” choices that you can choose to show your mood or your current thoughts to the public. Facebook had bought Instagram last 2012 for $1 billion, which is why it is not surprising for the two social networks to have similarities, as well as with Snapchat.

During an interview with The New York Times, Kevin Systrom of Facebook says, “Our mission has always been to capture and share the world’s moments, not just the world’s most beautiful moments. Stories will alleviate a ton of the pressure people have to post their absolute best stuff.”

Surely, Facebook will continue to have a lot of brighter days ahead. Only time will tell if the trend of success that the social media company is experiencing will continue to flourish.
